The challenge

What they faced

Collins Earthworks is electrifying its fleet, but its electric trucks run between a quarry and site where grid capacity is limited. A grid upgrade would have cost over £1m, and charging from diesel would defeat the point.

What we deployed

How MAX solved it

A MAX1000 with integrated DC fast charging runs from a 125A supply, storing energy steadily and charging electric trucks at high power on demand. It drops from a hooklift in under two minutes, so it moves as the work moves.

"The MAX1000 delivers exactly what we need: reliable, high-power charging that can be deployed at our various work sites without extensive infrastructure upgrades."
David Collins, Managing Director, Collins Earthworks
