Electric refuse vehicles are ready. The depot connection isn't.
Electrify the depot. Keep the supply.
MEV charges refuse trucks and council fleets on the depot's existing supply. MAX powers events, street works and standby.
The challenge
What stands in the way.
Electric refuse vehicles are ready.
The depot connection isn't.
Refuse and council fleets
Large batteries
Refuse trucks carry large batteries; depot supplies can't fill them fast.
Upgrade quotes
A Glasgow refuse depot was quoted £300,000 to upgrade.
Leased and shared sites
Councils move depots and share yards; fixed chargers get left behind.
Budget cycles
Capital budgets are tight, and charging must grow with the fleet.
Two ranges, two jobs
More power than the grid allows.
Charges your fleet where it parks
Rapid charging where the fleet parks, from the depot's own supply, moveable if the depot relocates, and available as a monthly service so charging grows with the fleet.
Explore MEVPowers anything, anywhere
MAX buffers a row of separate chargers, powers events and street works off-grid, and can replace standby generators at council sites.

FAQ
Questions buyers ask
Has this been done at a refuse depot?
Yes. At J&M Murdoch's refuse depot in Glasgow, a MAX300 buffered the existing 32A supply into DC fast charging within a day, deferring a £300,000 grid upgrade. MEV turns that approach into a dedicated charger.
Can councils pay monthly?
Yes. MEV is available as charging as a service, a fully inclusive monthly fee that turns charging from a capital project into an operating cost.
What if the depot moves?
MEV is fixed in use but can be unbolted, lifted out and re-sited, so it moves with the service.
